Sponsor A Book: Chair: Stephanie Heller

Sponsor a Book promotes and facilitates the adoption of new books for the Laurel library. The librarian, Lezlie Glare, orders books in advance which are then placed on the Sponsor a Book cart. These books cannot be made available to our kids in the library until parents have sponsored them. Each book can be sponsored for a price of $18 each, which represents an average cost of each book purchased. When you sponsor a book, you fill out a form which specifies the name of the person or family sponsoring the book and the person in whose honor the book is being sponsored. This information is placed on a plate inside the book and a certificate is given to the honoree. It is a great way to honor a teacher or staff member at the school, while providing more books for the library! While teachers and staff members are very often honored, the books are also purchased to honor students and other people as well. Lists of books available for sponsorship will be circulated from time to time with the regular newsletter at Laurel. There is also a cart available in the library for parents to browse the available titles.
