| Project Read |
Project Read, a new initiative of Youth That Care, Inc., a student run non-profit organization, will be sending Stanford students to India this summer to build libraries in underprivileged schools and communities. They would appreciate our school community's assistance in making this a successful endeavor, by donating books from your very own family libraries. The book drive will be held at Laurel School from Monday, February 11, through Friday, February 29. The books can be any children's literature that is in fairly good condition or new, and that is appropriate for a child between the ages of five and twelve years old - Dr. Seuss to Nancy Drew. A book bin will be outside our school office, and you may drop your books off at anytime during the school day. What a wonderful way for our children to partner with another school in India, and to share our love of learning!
