| Award Nominations for HSA/SSA |
Every year our district is lucky enough to
have parents, teachers, staff, and community
volunteers give of their time, skills, and
creativity to our schools. The Honorary
Service Awards (HSAs) and the
School Service Awards (SSAs) are our way of
recognizing those individuals who have
contributed in an extraordinary way to our
school district.
The HSA Nominating Committee relies heavily
on nominations from parents, teachers, and
staff to determine who should receive these
awards. Please submit your nominations by Friday, April 11, to the
Laurel School Office. Either print out and
drop off the form or send your nomination(s)
via email to Gina Watkins at PTO_President(at)laurelpto.org.

Paper Bags Needed
|
The Laurel Art & Science Fair needs your used paper grocery bags. We're going to try to re-use bags this year, rather than asking Trader Joe's for new bags, which means we need to collect 500 bags! Please save your bags this week (large size, good condition, handles only please) and drop them off in the bins in front of the Laurel Office next week, Monday, March 31 through Wednesday, April 2. If you are in the car pool drop off lane you can hand your bags to the curbside volunteer. Contact Susan Robinson at susan(at)thefurmans.org with questions. Thanks very much for helping out!

New Tree
|
The kindergarten yard has a new tree! Many thanks to ISA certified arborist Dave Muffly (238-6911 or arborecology.org) and to Delfino Vian of Vian Tree Care (326-1275) for their help selecting and planting our new Arizona White Oak. This beautiful little tree should provide shade to the yard for the next century or longer!
