PTO Volunteer Positions Available
We need several dynamic people to chair PTO committees next year.  If you are interested in leading one of our great teams or if you enjoy putting together fun events, please consider volunteering for one of these positions.  Co-chairs are welcome - any of these jobs can be shared, so enlist a friend to join you!

Here are a few of the open positions:

  • Hospitality Committee Co-Chairs:  The Hospitality Committee organizes refreshments for a few events throughout the year.
  • Business Alliance Committee Co-Chairs:  The Business Alliance Committee finds and manages fundraising opportunities with local businesses.
  • Quarter Gourmet Co-Chair:  Help to organize the volunteers for this fun annual event.
Contact Leslie Burke, PTO President for 2008-2009, at PTO_VicePresident(at)laurelpto.org, with any questions or nominations as soon as possible.

You may also contribute Target gift cards, cash, or checks made to Encinal PTO in the schools' offices. The supplies will be distributed to K through 5th graders before the start of school. Check out the Encinal supply list for ideas on what to buy!

Diff'rent Strokes for Diff'rent Folks!  The MPAEF needs your help to make the auction a success.  We have VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES to suit everyone's special talents, so if you'd like to help set up, decorate, serve drinks, register guests, close the silent auction, or clean up, let us know!  Just contact
Lauren Calhoon at calhoon120(at)sbcglobal.net or 566-1244 and she will help you find the right job. We need volunteers before, during and after the event with lots of variety in terms of time required and location (at home or at Menlo College).  It takes Diff'rent Strokes to move the world!
