Some camps have not begun distributing their publicity. We will send an updated version of this

JEFUNIRA CAMP
Jefunira Camp offers an exciting and unique program of good old-fashioned summer fun! We have a mix of the active (capture the flag, soccer, tag), the unique (star wars, ga ga, bennitch), and the alternative (cooking, house of cards, story telling). These sample activities provide only a glimpse of the fun kids have at Jefunira Camp.

LANGUAGE IMMERSION SUMMER CAMP - INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF THE PENINSULA

BandWorks School of Rock Camp is open to beginners through advanced, older teen players. Top musician-instructors create a fun and supportive environment while teaching kids the skills they need to play in a rock band. Students are rocking out in a live performance at the end of the week.

MARINE CAMP
Marine Science Institute Summer Marine Camp is a marine biology based camp for kindergarten through 12th grades. Participants spend a week exploring the San Francisco Bay and Pacific Coastline. Our hands-on curricula is designed for children to explore marine life faces-to-faces. Each camp will spend a day on the San Francisco Bay aboard our ship, the Robert G. Brownlee.

FIRST PLACE FENCING CAMP
Special early summer session fencing camp for youths! This camp will teach youngsters the basics of the sport of fencing. We will provide the equipment and the great experience. Learn to attack, parry and riposte as you fence through the summer with swords!
First Place Fencing Club will provide equipment, water and on occasions, some snacks. Campers must wear appropriate clothing: t-shirt and shorts or sweatpants (athletic pants), socks and shoes with laces or velcro that ensures the foot stays in the shoe.

CAMP SHORELINE
Discover Camp Shoreline nestled in a wildlife sanctuary. Learn to kayak, canoe, row and cycle the pedalboats. Participate in the craft activities, take a sailboat ride, hike in the natural surroundings, learn about Shoreline Park, birdwatch in its wildlife sanctuary, and visit the historic Rengstorff House museum. SHORELINE WINDSURFING AND SAILING CAMPS
Multi-level camps introduce the fundamentals of both sports covering water safety, board and boat handling basics, rigging and de-rigging as well as knot tying. Windsurfers will practice first on a land simulator in order to understand wind direction and board handling before heading out on their own. Additional topics covered include jibing, tacking, upwind sailing, helmsmanship, docking, and setting a basic sailing course. Daily on-the-water sailing exercises alternate skipper and crew duties. End of session skills assessment is issued.

Comic Book Art: Discover the vast world of sequential art in the form of comic strips,
comic books and graphic arts as we examine art ranging from hieroglyphs
to The Far Side and storyboards of today's Hollywood blockbusters. We
will create a cast of characters, turn a script into a pictorial
scene and complete our own four-page comic book. Sculpture Camp: Join us as we create beautiful three-dimensional artwork with clay, plaster, found materials and paper-machet. Students will explore both realistic and abstract approaches to sculpting. AniMania: Animation Camp: Using stop-motion, cut-out clip art, claymation flip-books, and direct animation (direct animation is done on 16mm film) students will work solo and team up to create cool short animated videos. This camp is designed for beginning musicians that are excited to explore playing music in a group. Using fun musical games and exercises based on popular songs, we will cover the fundamentals of playing music with others. SPORTS AND FUN SUMMER CAMP
Our one of a kind summer camp allows boys and girls to make new friends, enjoy the outdoors and build their confidence through sports. We focus on soccer and tennis while allowing time for other activities like Star Wars, tag, fitness challenges, water games, art, fun Fridays and much more! Grades: Entering 1st - 4th Location: Flood Park in Menlo Park Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (extended care is available from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.) Days: Monday through Friday Fees: $295.00 for one week (Sign up by April 1, 2010 for a $20 weekly discount). HOPE MUSICAL THEATRE SUMMER CAMP
This summer, come explore the world of singing, dancing and acting!! Everyone will get their chance to shine. In just 2 weeks we will put on an entire show: We build sets, create costumes, make props, learn great songs from the Broadway classics, and play wonderful characters. On the last day of camp there is a full performance for family and friends.

CHAMPION TENNIS CAMPS
CTC programs provide an enjoyable way for your child to begin learning the game of tennis or to continue developing existing skills. Our approach is to create lots of fun with positive feedback and reinforcement in a nurturing tennis environment!
