| Laurel's Spring Fling, Friday May 21st! |
Come and hear the voices of Laurel students at the Spring Fling Friday, May 21st. Students need to be in their classrooms at 5:15, while you stake out a place on the 2nd grade field with your blanket and picnic dinner. Relax and enjoy the show! This is the last whole-school event of the year, which bids farewell to part of the graduating 2nd grade, while embracing those who stay on for the first 3rd grade class at Laurel in years! (Yes, Laurel used to be K-3 way back in the '50s!)
Come listen, hang out, dance and commune at our last community event of the year! |

| Technically Proficient Parents - We Need Your Help! |
PTO Council
The PTO Council is looking for a volunteer with strong technical skills to create the 2010/2011 District Wide Directory this coming fall. You can choose to use the existing technical infrastructure which requires ability to write, debug, and use AppleScript that interacts with Excel and Adobe InDesign, or develop your own method to convert the District Data into the Directory. Your title would be PTO Council VP of Directories. Typically, this position also involves attending the PTO Council meetings once a month (in attendance are Ken Ranella, the principals from each school, and parent representatives from each school) however if this doesn't work with your schedule or it's not your cup of tea, it's not a requirement. If you're interested, please contact Andrea Luskin at aluskin@yahoo.com right away!
MPAEF
Looking to put your webmaster skills to work? The MPAEF needs a parent volunteer to help keep our website updated and exciting. You will work with Executive Director Lois Giovacchini and the Foundation Co-presidents and work can be done at your convenience. This is a great way to get involved helping our schools without the commitment and obligations of Board membership. If this sounds like the opportunity for you, please contact Lois at loisg@mpaef.org or call the MPAEF office at 325-0100. We look forward to hearing from you! |
